CCIR is excited to share "REEL Images of Immigration" with you as a way for churches, friends, and individuals to engage with various issues surrounding our national immigration system and policy. Many Christians are already involved in caring for their immigrant neighbors, but have questions about how to fix the system. The movies highlighted in the film guide depict different pieces of this complex issue to help spark conversation, discussion, and reflection about why and how we should work for reform.

Hosting a movie screening provides an opportunity to discuss a politically sensitive issue in a non-threatening and fun environment. Immigration and migration issues have affected societies throughout history. Through several modern films, we have the opportunity to examine different situations immigrants and their families face in our current day and age. A discussion after the film allows people to process, share, and act on what they saw. It’s also a great way to educate yourself and your community about the need for immigration reform.
